My Background and Career

My motto for myself and the people I coach is…

“If its possible, its doable”

  • I’ve played in over 15 different countries for England and teams abroad, gaining valuable experience. I’m also one of the very few players that have played internationally with all 3 rubbers, long pimples, short pimples and normal rubbers.

  • I am very experienced with the mental and psychological side of table tennis, sport and wider life having gone through over 500 hours of mindset coaching myself and studying intensely in this area. I now coach others within this.

  • I played professionally on the international scene for over 3 years training alongside the likes of Truls Möregårdh, Darko Jorgic, Felix Lebrun and more! Unfortunately injury forced an early retirement.

  • Coaching is now my main passion as I try to pass on all the knowledge I have gained throughout the years to help others reach their potential.

  • I have now collaberated with and am respected by many top level coaches all over the country

  • My specific table tennis journey is detailed below… The things I learned along my tough journey were monumental and life-changing for me, and I aim to do the same for others.

I quickly rose through the ranks and by 11yrs of age, I was 2nd in the country for my age group. Life got in the way and I fell out of the sport for 4 years, but then I decided I truly wanted it.

When I was 15 I decided to take myself on a table tennis journey, to be the fastest improving player in the country. I was only ranked #177 in the juniors at the start of this season and I was already nearly 16 years old! However, by the end of this season I had progressed to #53! And by the end of the very next season I broke into the top 10 coming in at #9! I was awarded the fastest improving player in the UK 2 years running, never previously done before, but I wasn’t done, I was still outside the top #100 senior men.

Over the course of the next season I got inside the top 5 in the juniors, and had risen all the way to #33 in the seniors. I was progressing quickly, and consistently month by month, year on year and ready to move abroad!

Only 9 months after moving to Sweden, I rose to #1 U21 and was ranked #13 in the seniors! I had just completed one of the most impressive rises in UK table tennis. Find out how I did it and what I learned along the way.
